NTPC and Numaligarh Refinery Collaborate on Green Chemical Initiatives

NTPC Ltd signed a non-binding agreement with Numaligarh Refinery Ltd. (NRL) to explore collaborative opportunities in green chemical projects. NTPC Ltd, whih comes under the ministry of power, and NRL, a subsidiary of Oil India Ltd, which focuses on refining and marketing petroleum products, are aiming to expand their involvement in green chemicals.

Through the agreement, both entities aspire to strengthen their presence in sustainable solutions, contributing to the nation’s net-zero targets and supporting the development of the northeast region. As reported by NDTV Profit, NTPC’s commitment to achieving 60 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2032 underscores its dedication to becoming a key player in the green hydrogen and energy storage sectors.
