Takasago International Planning Significant Expansion in India

Japan based Takasago International India, a key player in the global flavour and fragrance industry, is planning substantial expansion in the Indian market. The company has set up its own facility in Chennai dedicated to research and development, marketing, and manufacturing of flavour and fragrance products.

With an annual production capacity of 20,000 tons, the facility aims to introduce Japanese technology to offer unique experiences for Indian consumers. Takasago is looking forward to invest particularly in R&D infrastructure, talent acquisition, and technology transfers.

As reported by newsonprojects.com, the impressive growth of Takasago’s business in India, has seen a tenfold increase since its inception, with a compound annual growth rate exceeding forty percent.

Recently, Takasago inaugurated its international India fragrance centre in Mumbai, focusing on fragrance research, creation, and sensory evaluation. The facility aims to cater to the preferences of Indian beauty consumers, collaborating closely with local fragrance experts and perfumers to understand the cultural significance of scents in the Indian context.
